Why we built it this way

It answers a question your visitors have

The badge links to a free check of their own site — not a homepage. Someone who notices it is almost always wondering whether their own pages are indexed. That's a useful click, not an ad.

It's a real link, not an image with alt text

The recommended style is plain HTML, so the anchor contains selectable, crawlable text. Nothing loads from our servers, and it renders identically in every email client, CMS, and static site generator.

It looks like something you'd want on your site

Dark and light themes, four sizes, and three link-text options, so it can sit next to your payment logos without looking bolted on.

Badge questions

What is the "Indexed by IndexerNow" badge?

It's a small badge you can put in your site's footer showing that your pages are pushed to Google and Bing through IndexerNow. It links to a free indexing check, so anyone who clicks it gets a useful answer about their own site rather than a landing page.

Is the badge free to use?

Yes. Anyone can use it, and verified IndexerNow accounts get 75 free credits the first time they add it and confirm the link is live.

Does the badge slow my site down?

No. The recommended style is inline HTML and CSS with a small embedded SVG — nothing is fetched from our servers at all. The image styles load a single cached SVG under 2 KB.

Where should I put the badge?

The footer, next to your other trust marks. It's the conventional spot, it's on every page, and it's where visitors look for signals about how a site is built.

Can I change the link text?

Yes — there are three options in the builder. Pick whichever reads naturally on your site; they all describe the destination honestly.
