What is the Google Indexing API?

It's a Google API that tells search bots a URL is new or updated. Google says it's officially for JobPosting and BroadcastEvent content, but in practice it works as a strong 'please crawl this URL now' hint for any page.

Is IndexerNow the same as IndexNow (or 'Google IndexNow')?

Close, but not identical. IndexNow is an open protocol that instantly notifies Bing, Yandex, Seznam, and Naver when a URL changes — Google does not currently support it. IndexerNow is the tool: we push your URLs to Google through the official Indexing API and to Bing via the IndexNow protocol, so you cover both from one list.

What is the IndexNow protocol and which search engines support it?

IndexNow is a simple, open protocol: you host a key file and ping one endpoint when a URL is added, updated, or deleted, and the participating engines get notified at once. Supported engines today are Bing, Yandex, Seznam, and Naver (Google is not a member). IndexerNow handles the key file and submissions for you.

How is IndexerNow different from IndexMeNow or Omega Indexer?

Credit-based indexers like IndexMeNow and Omega Indexer push your URLs through their own proprietary systems. IndexerNow runs on your own verified Google Search Console, Cloud project, and quota using Google's official Indexing API — plus Bing/IndexNow, bulk status checks, and free tools. Same job for backlinks and new pages, but on your own account.

How do I add or submit a URL to Bing?

The fastest way is IndexNow: host a key file and ping the endpoint, and Bing is notified instantly (along with Yandex, Seznam, and Naver). You can also add URLs by hand in Bing Webmaster Tools. IndexerNow does the IndexNow submission for you in the same click as your Google push.

How long does it take Google to index a URL?

It varies from hours to several weeks depending on your site's authority, crawl budget, and how the page is discovered. Pushing the URL through the Indexing API is the strongest nudge you can send. Use our free estimator to get a realistic window for your site.

Will this guarantee my pages get indexed?

No tool can guarantee Google indexes your page — only Google decides. What we guarantee is that your URLs are pushed through Google's own Indexing API (and Inspection API) using your own Search Console access. That's the strongest crawl signal you can send.

Is this allowed by Google?

Yes. We use Google's own OAuth flow — you sign in, we get scoped access to your verified Search Console properties, and we call the Indexing/Inspection APIs as you. No service accounts, no shared credentials, no 'block-able' patterns.

What if a submission fails?

You see the exact reason per URL — quota hit, property not verified, robots blocked, etc. Retry the batch from your history with one click; free retries respect your daily quota, paid retries open a new checkout.

What are the daily limits and the Google Indexing API quota?

Free quotas reset every day at midnight UTC: 15 indexer / 20 status checks / 20 audits per user. Power and Agency subscribers get 50 indexer / 2,000 status checks / 10,000 audits per day. Beyond the free quota you spend credits — up to 150 credits/day per user. Google's own Indexing API quota applies on top: 200 indexing publishes/day per project and 2,000 URL inspections/day per property. Our calculator works out how many you need.

What data do you store?

Your Google email, your refresh token (encrypted at rest), and the URLs + results of each batch you submit. No content scraping, no analytics about your pages, no email sent to you we didn't promise.

Can I delete my data?

Yes — Settings → Delete my data wipes your user record, every batch, and revokes the OAuth refresh token. You can also revoke our access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Do you support Bing / Yandex?

Yes. The Bing tab pushes URLs through the IndexNow protocol (Bing + Yandex) and Bing Webmaster Tools. Bing's retrieval index now feeds ChatGPT Search and is a major Perplexity source, so submitting to Bing is also how you reach those AI assistants.

Can ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity see my site?

Should I block GPTBot and other AI training bots?

Depends on your stance. The common 2026 pattern: block training crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended, CCBot) to opt out of model training, but allow answer-time fetchers (ChatGPT-User, Claude-Web, PerplexityBot) to keep citation traffic. What's llms.txt and do I need one?

It's a proposed plain-text manifest at /llms.txt that gives AI assistants a curated, link-rich tour of your site. Doesn't gate access (that's robots.txt) — it helps AI assistants ground answers about your content. We generate one from your sitemap in the dashboard.

If a paid batch fails to submit (network error on our side, Google API down for everyone), email support and we'll refund the batch. Submissions that complete-but-don't-result-in-indexing aren't refundable — Google's decision, not ours.

Officially it targets JobPosting and BroadcastEvent content. For other content types it works as a strong "please crawl" hint but Google doesn't guarantee indexing. The URL Inspection API is read-only and reports the index status Google already has on file.
