IndexerNow

Google API quota calculator

Google's indexing APIs have hard daily quotas. Enter your volume to see whether you fit inside the defaults — and, if not, how many Cloud projects or service accounts a do-it-yourself setup would need.

Indexing API
Google daily limit / project200/day
Your volume500/day
DIY service accounts needed3

Past the 200/day default you must either request a quota increase or split submissions across 3 Cloud projects / service accounts — each added as an Owner in Search Console.

URL Inspection API
Google daily limit / property2000/day
Per-minute limit600/min
Your volume300/day

You fit inside one property's daily quota.

With IndexerNow

IndexerNow runs on your own Google Cloud project and quota — never a shared pool — so these same limits apply, but you skip the multi-project plumbing. The free tier covers 10 index pushes and 20 status checks a day; a $9.99 / 50-credit pack or Power ($29/mo) automation handles bigger runs. Work out the exact spend with the credit calculator.

The limits, in plain numbers

  • Indexing API: 200 publish requests/day per Google Cloud project (the default; you can request more).
  • URL Inspection API: 2,000 queries/day and 600/minute per Search Console property.
  • Search Analytics API: 1,200 queries/minute, no fixed daily cap.

Hitting these returns a quota-exceeded error — see the fix for how to request an increase or shard across projects. To turn a URL count into a dollar figure on IndexerNow, use the credit calculator.
